A FASHION guru has revealed the most popular bag trends of 2022 that you don’t want to miss.
Marie Eriksson, known on social media as @loveyoumariemuch, took to TikTok to share her tips on what bags will be in style this summer.
In a 53-second video uploaded to TikTok on Monday, Marie offered her followers some useful advice, with the song Feel the Grove by Queens Road and Fabian Graetz playing in the background.
“Let’s talk 2022 with bag trends,” Marie says at the start of the footage, noting she previously hasn’t offered style tips in regards to bags.
The first trend she mentions is “woven bags,” which she explains isn’t her style but remains a popular staple of the summer.
The next trend, according to Marie, is “sleek, minimalistic baguette bags.”
“So something like this. Which I think is a timeless staple bag,” Marie says as she points to a photo of a small black purse.
The third trend Marie mentions is “saturated colors, like really out there bags with different textures and very bold colors.”
She insisted the bags are “definitely in this summer.”
Marie continued to tell her followers of the next popular bag, which she calls “the oversized shopper bag.”
“I personally really like this and I, in general, really like that 90s-style fashion is coming back,” Marie says.
“I feel like they’re much more wearable than Y2K trends.”
The fifth and last bag trend she talks about in the video is “bags with curved lines.”
“I feel like if you’re looking for something new with the high fashion vibe … this is definitely the bag trend for you.”
Fans immediately took to the comments section and praised her advice.
“Love your videos,” one TikTok viewer wrote.
In addition to handbag styles, Marie has revealed two tricks that she uses to elevate her everyday outfits – and they work for everyone.
Both of Marie’s tips are super easy and affordable for any budget as you likely already own a number of items she suggests adding for a high-end look.
Posting to her TikTok, Marie says that she uses these tips to pick out her day-to-day outfits, adding that sometimes she uses just one of the tips, while other times she may combine both.
“The more of them you use, the more ‘dressed up’ you will look, so it really just depends on what type of vibe you are going for,” the fashionista said.
